Two windows 7 machines sharing the same Homegroup. I shared a folder on one machine and ensured full control is ticked in the permissions and read/write. I shared to the homegroup and selected read/write. When I try to save a notepad TXT file to this folder from the other machine, I receive a message that says I do not have permissions to write to the folder.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Brad

May be you shoul try Advanced Share Permission
1. Right-click the shared folder and then click Properties.
2. Click the Sharing tab, click Advanced Sharing. Check Share this folder box.
3. Click Permissions button, Click Add.
4. Type Everyone and click OK.
5. Click everyone in the user list, and check the Allow box for Full Control in the "Permissions for Everyone" pane and click Apply, click OK.

Hope this helps
