It looks as if your notebook computer is a 32-bit only hardware configuration. That's why you're getting the "installation disc not compatible" message. Since you're trying to install Windows 7 64-bit, did you verify that your system is 64-bit hardware and capable of a 64-bit OS?

Would you please post the make and FULL model number of your notebook? What brand and model of CPU does it have? How old is the notebook?

The more information you can give will be very helpful.

Oh and welcome to the Windows 7 Forums website Markiers!

ASUS K50IJ notebook

Are you trying to perform a upgrade install or custom install?
From the looks of it you are trying to do the upgrade route.

You may need to format the drive before you can install.

Have mercy! I wish I knew what Markiers was saying??

I believe the last post he meant that he burnt the ISO to the DVD at too high a burning speed.

That's why I ALWAYS tell people to burn no faster than 8X speed!! I myself burn no faster than 4X when doing an ISO image burn of an OS and then using the "verify" feature in ImgBurn.

I glad he got it going finally... this thread is being marked as: SOLVED !
