Win7 SPI.

I have transferred all my images to folders within
the Library/Pictures folders.

I did this to allow easy backup with Win7
image/file backups.

But the thumnails there have annoying blue borders
and cant be sorted on file name, dimensions etc.

Any way to switch this on?

Mine don't have blue borders, and I can sort them by name, tag, rating
etc. And the extras available are too numerous to write here.
I have hundreds of camera snaps in folders and I've never had the
slightest complaint against MS.

Something must be amiss with yours. Tell us more or give us a snapshot
of how they look.
What settings are available under Arrange By & Sort By?

Thanks, the default in "Pictures" folders have
different defaults which can be changed.

The dark-blue border when a large thumbnail is
selected preserves the content undimmed. In
other sites away from the library, picture content
itself is dimmed.

I'll get used to it.
