xp to 7 upgrade

Has anyone tried the laplink upgrade assistant to go from xp to 7?

I tend to mistrust programs that promise so much - but anything to avoid
having to reinstall everything...

If you mean PCMover ... yes, it works very well if you want to migrate lots
of programs without reinstalling them indiviudally. No problems with
WordPerfect, Word, Photoshop. I did reinstall my antivirus and firewall.
[Possibly because I did not turn them off before migration. No big deal.]
PCMover took 4 hours unattended so plan accordingly.

I did a complete install, not done yet. I wonder if migrating programs
will cause problems. I have several utilities that won't work which I had
to test. At least my old Paint Shop ver. 9 appears to work ok !!
