Windows goes into sleep mode when downloading even though security set to "never"

Hi

I have searched forums and answers to this problem and although I have set my computer to never sleep, shutdown etc. my computer sleeps when left idle (even when I am downloading a file) Any ideas on this annoying problem please?

You might try updating your BIOS to the latest offered by the manufacturer. It's possible ACPI was added or updated and the new BIOS might help.

There is also a difference between sleep and hibernation and you may try setting sleep, hybrid sleep, and hibernation to never in Power settings - Advanced.

You might also check your device manager settings regarding sleep
