windows 7 upgrade media player freezes

I used the win 7 dvd to upgrade from vista and having wmp troubles. 75% of the time the music I want playing will just stop and I cannot get the songs to start again. I had this trouble at the time of the upgrade and deleted the music and reinstalled the cd's. It still has the problem.

Any ideas?

I can't tell what the problem is, but I know that many other people also have problems with WMP12. Might be a system error. Was it always like that, or did it start at a certain moment? If it started later than the install, try doing a system restore to before the incident.

WMP12 is power consuming and buggy, so if I were you, I would switch to winamp.
