Windows 7 64 bit OS

Is windows 7 has windows XP Mode. Is windows 7 64 bit when run on windows xp mode, can it be changed to windows xp 32 bit mode and how ?

And also how do I change to windows XP mode for windows 7 OS.

Very good question Kothapalli and welcome to the forum.

From what I understand the XP mode for W7 Pro is XP service pack 3 (32 bit) regardless of if you are running W7 64 bit or 32 bit as your OS. As you are running it in VM (Virtual Machine) the bit rate does not matter or so I have read.

I tried the XP Mode and it runs more like an installed program than an operating system once it is installed. It creates a folder in your start menu and if you install anything under the XP Mode, that program's folders appear as subfolders to the XP Mode folder. In this way you can then start that program from just clicking the shortcut. The shortcut starts the XP Mode along with itself and it is pretty seamless
