Windows 7 Build 7600- Print spooler keeps shutting down even if not trying to print and with no printers installed, any suggestions welcome.

Do you get an error when the spooler service shuts down? Also, is there any extended information about the problem in event viewer (just type that in to the start menu search to load it).
