W7 64 bit RDP freezes monitor

I have a Dell T1500 with dual DVI Nvidia Quadro FX380 running W7 64 bit OS. The issue I am facing is when I RDP to this machine and then log off the connection, both monitors on this reomote machine go blank and a blinking cursor appears on the top left hand corner of one screen. I have to power cycle the computer get back to the network logon. Is this a monitor driver issue or something more arcane? Any help much appreciated.

I can only give you some very general ideas:

- load defaults in the nvidia control panel
- try another video driver version for your card
- it might be a good idea to address this issue here:

Found this issue on Microsoft and Microsoft Connect but no definitive answer, but there were a few things mentioned that seemed to work for some..
