Uninstall OmniPage???

Seum

I have an Advent computer with OmniPage installed. I have no use for it
and want to dump it. It won't uninstall - and gives a message "Insert
the OmniPage disk and click OK." That disk wasn't provided.

Does anyone know of a program that could rip this program out? I know
about Revo - it never extracted anything for me.

TIA

Nuance have uninstallers for download:

You need the right one for the version of Omnipage you have installed.

Thanks Rob.

The version I have is Scansoft OmniPage SE2.0
I had a look at that nuance material and it's not what I have in mind.
There is nothing there that I saw relating to dumping it.

They have special uninstall programs for other versions but I can't see
one for SE 2.0.

Have a look at the uninstall procedure for V11, which may help:
http://nuance.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/201/~/manually-uninstalling-omnipage-pro-11

and v17:
http://nuance.custhelp.com/app/answ...manual-uninstall-instructions-for-omnipage-17

That shows some other tech notes and registry keys which need to be
deleted and may help with your version.

I swapped to Abbyy Fine Reader for OCR and have never looked back.
I know that doesn't help, but good luck in getting rid - seems like
it's as bad as the infamous Norton Anti-Virus which left bits all
over the shop and was a PITA to fully remove.
