Unale To Reboot Without a CD

What could be the cause of my being told that after successfully backing up and restoring a system partition to a different hard drive from the original, that I need a CD to reboot the system?
Any suggestions would be welomed.

It needs to correct the boot info. It's normal when trying to first start a cloned copy, but it should only need it the first time.
