This server is requesting that your username password

I keep getting this message from windows security when I try to lo onto my ReadyNAS storage .
"This server is requesting that your username password be sent in an insecure manner "
I have the right username and password so it like windows is not passing the log in info to the device.

Is your Windows 7 ID and password the same as the NAS server account logon & password?

No it is not the same as my windows userid and password.

I never tried it myself but from what I can find in search your win7 userid and password must be the NAS login/pass
