Patch My PC belongs on the list for must have software. http://patchmypc.net/download.html It also works in Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I just used it to install, Java, Flash Player Air, Shockwave, 7-zip,Ccleaner, Recuva, Speccy, Silverlight and Firefox in one sinle go. It also makes sure you have current versions of the above and a few more.
