startup problems

i had installed windows XP and windows 7 on my new pc. then now i updated XP to service pack 3 (i earlier had XP service pack 1). The problem is when i boot my computer, it boots directly into windows xp, it does not show the windows 7 option!!!! What can i do to get back the windows 7 alongwith windows XP when i boot my computer???? Please help me!!!!!!!

Try rebooting your computer and once it beeps, start tapping the F8 key until you get the advanced boot menu options. Then look to see if you have both OS listed. It sound like to me that when you loaded XP, it became the primary OS. Not sure if by default or some sort of setting you accidently clicked on durning the process. If both OS's are not listed, you may have inadvertently installed XP over top of 7.
