Source path too long. Windows can not copy the files

Hi,
When I am trying to copy some files from my HDD to D derive. I am getting this error source path too long to copy.
Can someone help me in this.

Try copying to the desktop first, or make a new folder on the desktop and copy there first. Then copy them to the other drive from there.

Basically if the file path goes beyond 254 chars it will fail so you need to cut out files buried deep in folders w/ subfolders w/ more subfolders, etc; that's why Sammy's idea would work.
