Sound problem

Since doing a clean install of W7, previously Vista, the microphone on
my laptop is permanently connected to the speakers so when I speak by
the laptop it comes through the speakers.

Does anyone have a remedy, pleaseeeeeeeeee?

Look in you sound card Properties and turn it off Or maybe there is a FN key
on the keyboard To turn on or off

Couldn't find anywhere in properties to turn it off, (but not really
sure what I should be looking for) and no function key to do so.

I also had a problem with sound after I installed Win7. No sound at all. I'm
using a motherboard with built in sound. There seems to be a problem with
drivers for sound on the install of win7.

I ended up in installing a new sound card and the drivers for that card
worked and all is OK now.

Yours is the 4th or 5th sound problem I've read about here and in other
newsgroups.

You have got to be continually checking for driver updates. The updates seem
to be coming from the manufacturers but slowly.

I suggest that if you go for the new soundcard you make sure that they
supply you with a driver that is accepted for win7.

Good luck.

Regards,
