sound from xp, none from window7

I have 2 operating system on my pc. I get sound on the XP side, but none on Window7. I have the correct drivers, and I've try everything I could think of.
Any suggestions?

Can you give some details about your system?
The computer model or motherboard model would be most helpful.

Which version of Windows 7 are you using? Is it the 32-Bit or 64-Bit?
Which drivers have you tried? The sound drivers from the manufacturer or the sound drivers for the chipset?

Have you looked through the audio options and made sure nothing was muted in error? There is a fair amount of difference between XP and W7. For example: having your headphones set as default playback device will certaily result in no sounds from your speakers.
