sleep mode

Just lately when returning from sleep mode the computer starts up but the
monitor remains blank. The yellow HDD lamp stays full on and the green mains
light continues to flash. I have to force a shutdown and turn off at the
mains. When restarted it shows: 'resuming windows' and returns the same
screen that was there before the sleep mode. Is there a way of repairing
sleep mode?

Update the graphics drivers.

Does it happen every time?

How long do you wait, I had this happen to me twice the first time I waited
about 2 mins before I rebooted, the second time I got distracted and it did
finally come back on in about 15 mins and seem to run fine? I did a reboot
anyway as it was about 3 weeks since the last time I did a reboot.

I was thinking BIOS, but never did look in to it.
