Using Vista, it would create a restore point etc. I was able to remove that restore point and create another one. This would get clear up about 40 gigs of HDD space. Looking at the Window 7 Home Premium, may I do the same thing? I have checked it, and I don't see how I can.
Thanks for your help.

Hello gets - Welcome to w7forums

Press "Windows Logo + Pause"
Click "System protection"
Under configure you can turn off to clear all points and then turn back on
And then last but not least you will need to create a new restore point

As well as the above advice you can also use cleanmgr for clearing out all but the last restore point.

To do so, press windows key & r to bring up the run dialogue, type in cleanmgr and press enter to start the program

Next click on "Clean up system files" and the program will appear to restart
Now click on the "More Options" tab at the top
Under System restore and shadow copies click on the "Clean up" button and ok any requesters.
cleanmgr will now clear out your old system points apart from your most recent one

Hope this helps
