Hi,

P4 3.4Ghz 3Gb RAM WinXP

Just run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and it would seem that my hardware is compatible with the 64Bit version - likely to upgrade PC in near future so I guess x64 is best option.

Will download and burn OS to disk

1) Can I install Win7 64bit as dual boot onto different partitions until I'm happy it works OK?
2) If 64bit causes problem can I install 32bit version with same download
3) Can I (if hardware is compatible) install same Win7 again on my laptop or do I need a separate licence?

Thanks in advance

1.Yes. Prepare a separate partition (at least 18GBS, to accomodate your own software), and the Windows 7 installation will automatically set up a dual boot with your present OS.
2. No.
3. Legally, you should erase the original installation if you do that.Otherwise the answer is yes.
