SOLVED pull down menu disappears

Quite possible your registry is corrupted, try restoring to a "restore point" prior to when the issue began

Please elaborate on "disappears". Are you saying the menu is empty or it drops down but then goes away?

The drop down menu appears momentarily but then disappears, so I can't use it.

I've tried Windows help but without success. I've noted that many people have the same problem

My car ran fine until it broke down. I suggest you try a new mouse to rule out that possible hardware failure
