I just recently bought a new desktop computer with windows 7 os. I previously had one with xp. I also have a macbook pro and I could print from the macbook to the printer attached to the xp computer. I can't do that with the new one. Any one out there with a resolution to this problem.
thanks
you can email directly if you would like too (e-mail address removed)

Nevermind, I just re-read your question and managed to misunderstand it the first time.

I recently tried to share a printer from a W7 machine to a Macbook Pro, and couldn't get it to work right. Maybe there's a way to get it to work through Samba?

Have you marked the Windows 7 printer as shared.
Also. Open the Control Panel (icon view) and then open - Network and sharing centre.
Open Advanced Sharing settings
Select "Home or work" and "turn on" file and printer sharing.
