Do you have any other addons or plugins running (especially anti-virus ones), as it might be worth temporarily disabling them to see if any are causing it.
I was using Kaspersky at the time I had that problem too, so try disabling the outlook addins for that and see if that solves it. I have KIS 2010 running ok at the moment, but it's worth a shot.
