Outlook 2003 in Windows 7

I can't get Outlook to remember my email account passwords; they have to be re-entered every time I restart. What am I missing?

I take it you either

• don't have a remember password checkbox
• have selected the remember password and it does not help

I set up the accounts in the 'Tools' menu, and selected 'remember password'. Everything works fine, until I shut down the application and restart. When Outlook tries to retrieve mail, I get a dialog for each account requesting I enter the password. I did so, and again checked the 'remember password' box.

It could be that there is a problem with your Outlook profile, so I would try removing and then re-creating the e-mail account.
