Operation Cancelled

Why do I receive the message: "Operation Cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Contact administrator"
How to cure it?

What is it that you are trying to do when you get this error message, and is it your own PC? It could be that your sys admin has put some restrictions in place.

If it's your own PC, let us know a bit more detail about when this problem occurs and I'm sure we can help.

It is a stand alone computer and I am the only user and administrator.
I cannot access links to the internet (html etc) from Outlook 7 (email) nor from other Office 7 documents.
I have truied the "fix it" files from Google but they do not make any difference.
It used to work OK but I cannot understand why it has started to flag up this error message.

I contacted Microsoft - they took over my cmputer and solved the problem.

No idea how Microsoft solved the proble. He took over my computer used a couple of files and hey-presto, solved.
