Norton 360 Beta !!!

Just a little 'heads up'!

I used one of the Norton Registry tools that comes with 360 Beta and it screwed up both my CD drives. Neither was available for use and Device Manager told me that the registry entry had become corrupted!
As there is no 'Repair Installation' in W7 I had no choice but to do a clean install!

Whilst I don't expect the earth with beta versions I do expect those proggies written specially for W7 to work!

So, be warned!

Thanks for the warning Geoffers, that's a drastic fix to solve the problem so I'll avoid running those tools for now!

The good thing though, is that the re-install spotted the old version of Win7, and whacked the existing version into a folder named "Windows.old" so everything is still there!
Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
