All sound on my computer was working fine but then something changed and now, when I try to listen to a podcast in a browser (I've tried four), the level indicator shows movement but no sound is heard. If I open a sound file in Windows Media Player, no sound is heard. But if I open the music player program I have, sound is heard. I have uninstalled/installed the driver for the Realtek device from Dell but the result is the same. Can anyone think of why sound would work for one program but not others?
