SOLVED No icons on desktop

Hello, I want to have a map on my desktop without an icon.
Any suggestions to do this a bit easily (or get a similar effect)?

So.. all I want to see is the name of the folder, not an actual icon.

So you want the name visible but no icon - all you need is a totally clear icon.

Your item on the desktop should be a shortcut because shortcuts allow you to set the icon; actual files, on the other hand, are controlled by another program so it will use that programs icon, which is not what you want. Unzip the icon file I attached to a folder somewhere; easiest would be the folder where your item actually exists. Then on the desktop you right click on the shortcut and select properties; in the shortcut tab choose change icon and browse to find and select InvisibleIcon.ico
