I have a HP laptop with a 363F 42.14 mother board and a AMD Sempron processor M120.
I am wanting to add additional RAM from 2G to 4G do I have to stay with the current DIMM DDR2 800MHZ or can I use other RAM?

It would be easier if we knew the manufacturer and model number of your Notebook.

You could probably bing/google a memory upgrade yourself using the manufacturer and model number.

Yeah you can use secondary RAM. Don't forget adding multiple RAM are subject to speed up the speed of computer & this goal can be achieved if you add another RAM of same speed.
