There used to be an advantage to using this setting with XP.

Does the same still apply to Windows 7? B.T.W. Mine isn't usually ticked.

I think it would not be advantageous with Windows 7 as it better isolates processes so a crash in one does not take down all of Windows. Plus Windows 7 is more stable in general.

Yea, I thought more stable, but never bothered as I've had 3 explorer crashes in Win7 over 6 months as opposed to the 3 a week in XP. Still it can't hurt.

And if it does, I'll let you know!!

Well, it does consume more memory.
