Is Win 7, 64 bit, the culprit?

Hi all!
I'm running Win7, 64 bits.
A week ago or so, I uploaded on 2 different days photos to Flickr through
their *Flickr uploader*
Two days ago, I'm trying the same, to no avail. It won't upload even one
flic, yet I haven't installed anything new lately or changed anything.
I tried to upload directly from their website through Firefox (32 bit). Same
thing.
Then I got the idea of trying to upload from their website with Internet
Explorer 64 bit. Dead-end.
FINALLY, I tried to upload from their website with Internet Explorer 32 bit.
IT WORKED!
Does any of you have any idea? I put the problem to the Flickr people, but
they haven't come around yet.
Thanks,
Marcel

Just a guess, but adobe Flash Player will not work on 64 bit browsers, and
is OK on 32 bit browsers. If you need flash Player, you have answered your
own question.

Adobe's products don't work with 64 bit systems, so maybe they
made a change on their end that uses Flash, or something else
of Adobes. That's one of the reasons why windows 7 has two versions
of IE, one for 32 bits, the other for 64 bits.
If you find a website that doesn't seem to work properly, try using
compatibility mode first, then use the 32 bit IE next.

Thanks Dick and Dave.
I was pondering upon the fact that Flash might be "partial" to 32 VS 64 bit.
However, this doesn't explain why on the same machine, using Win 7, through
Firefox, I was able to upload pics to Flickr till about a week ago... and
suddenly NO MORE, except with Interrnet Explorer 32 bit.
Mind you Firefox is 32 bit... search me ;-))))

Adobe's products don't work with 64 bit systems,

*Some* Adobe products don't, but some do. As a single example, Adobe
Reader works fine.
