Installation of explorer10 in windows 7

I recentlu updated my computer to Windows 7. I tried to download and install explorer 10 which seemed to go fine, no errors. I look at the version of explorer on my system now and it says I am running explorer 8. Is this a bug, did explorer 10 not install, does anyone know what is going on?

If you go to help > about in IE and it says version 8 then reboot. If you come back and it still says version 8 then no, 10 did not install.
