how to avoid clicking on username icon at restart?

I'm the only user of my computer, when I restart (from hibernate) I have
to click on my username icon.
how to avoid that? (this changed recently, I don't know why)

I don't have my Win7 laptop handy at the moment, but I believe that's under power options. There's a check box for
"Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" or some similar wording. Uncheck that box and you won't be
prompted.

I don't have an answer, but I don't think that's what he's saying. I
*do* have that box checked, but when the computer wakes from sleep or
hibernation my username is on screen and the password field has
focus, so I just type my password and don't have to click on my
username icon. I don't know why the OP does.

You are the only user but are there other accounts, e.g. Administrator?
