How Can I Remove URL from Bottom of Screen

As i hover over a web page i see a light blue bar popping up on the bottom left of my screen. the blue bar seems to contain a URL; when this url is a very long one, the blue bar extends all across the bottom of the screen. this thing covers up the progress bar on web player videos as well as covering my side scroll bar sometimes. Please tell me how to make this stop popping up. thanks
