Hotmail account

Have Tried several times to open Hotmail & live messenger accounts, but each time it says my mobile phone No is not valid. I set it for UK & details are correct. would like to set up windows live mail but need win' ID. Any help would be great, thanks vtach

I believe Microsoft's various login site's were hacked yesterday. I use AI Roboform 7 which eneters my login details for me. I've also got Windows Live Mail desktop from Live Essential setup to remember my email and password. All are faailing to login to Microsoft site's , but Roboform logged me in here twice and Windows Live Mail desktop got my Gmail & AT&T emails, just not Hotmail's. Obvious Microsoft issue.
