Hopefully OK Win 8 question

Evan Platt

Hope this isn't too O/T here, but have Win 8 on 2 machines, and
running Synergy Virtual KVM (well KM technically).

Going to my secondary computer, Alt-Tab doesn't work. Alt-tab works
fine on the primary machine. Alt key works, tab key works But not the
alt-tab task switching.

So tried Multiplicity - a similar program. Same problem.

Any solutions or suggestions?

Thanks. :)

(PS: Both computers were upgraded from Win7, and it worked before).

I don't mind the question, but you might try
alt.comp.os.windows-8, also.

There is a Win8 group on Eternal September, alt.comp.os.windows-8, if you'd
like to post there also.

My guess is that the writers of those programs haven't released a
Win8-compatible version yet.
You say "KM". Does that mean you're using one KB and mouse to control two
(or more) PCs with their own monitors? If that's what you're doing (as I
am), then you might want to try Mouse without Borders from the Microsoft
Garage:

I use it between two Win7 machines now, but I did have Win8 on one, and it
worked well for that one also.

Hmm... Didn't see it. I'll do a refesh groups again, thanks.

Hmm.. Tried that, still the same problem :(

Sounds like a Win8 to Win8 issue ;(

Well, bummer. Sorry it didn't work for you. You may be right; it may just be
a Win8 to Win8 thing. I never tried it with the Win8 machine as the local
host since it was a laptop, and my desktop keyboard was easier to reach and
use.

Also available in news.individual.net - and I *assume* a few others too.

I resonate with the frustrations of the OP because
my Access10 in Win7 refuses to have the Combo
boxes drop down with the F4 key in a sub form.

Win8 Release Preview or retail Win8 RTM (with latest patches) ?
