Sad to say Deskpins, just like 'Windows on Top' and 'Always on Top'Dave said:jphilippa wrote:-

I don't think there is any way in Windows to set "always on top" for a
program, but there are some free third party utilities that will do it.
I use "DeskPins." I can't find an original source site, but it is
available at most popular freeware sites, like Snapfiles.

Sad to say Deskpins, just like 'Windows on Top' and 'Always on Top'
does not survive a reboot. I would really like to make 'being in the
foreground' a PERMANENT feature of GTalk.

Well, cheer up because you are wrong (maybe). Look at the Autopins
feature under Options. It works for some programs but not for others. I
won't go into detail here. That is what the Help files are for.

Char Jackson - No, I have not asked Google for that feature, but I gues
it is an option.

agree with you Dave that there is potential for getting the desire
result from that. However, Crash, filling in the available entries woul
be sheer guess work, so I emailed the 'author' for help, and had th
email returned to me as undeliverable. If YOU, Dummy, were to have
clue as to how to proceed with AUTOPINS, and would guide me, it would b
much appreciated, and I think a great boon to the users of GTalk, apar
from me.
