Grouping applications on the taskbar

I see inconsistencies on programs that arent from microsoft where once they are dragged/pinned to the taskbar, they dont group like the others. Is there a solution available that I am not aware of? As you can see on the attached image, internet explorer groups them and the hulu application doesnt. thanks.

Hey tr3stanmanos. Buttons will only group once there is a certain number of them open in the taskbar, usually with just two or three windows open they will not be grouped unless the entire taskbar is already full.

If thats the case then this window is quite confusing. I have tried the other two options and if you select "Comine when taskbar is full" option then what you are saying will happen. See screenshot.
