failure to reboot

Running win 7 home edition on HP laptop. On reboot all i get is a black screen. disconnect from power , take out battery, replace, reboot it works, powers up and works fine. check everything all seems fine. shut down as normal, reboot, black screen unless i again go and remove battery before rebooting?????

Hello Robin,

You may want to check on the HP Site and see if there is an update available for your BIOS. Hopefully after updating the BIOS this should be resolved.
