easy transfer cable

i currently have 4year old toshiba satellite with intel celeron M32 bit and windows vista basic. i am thinking of buying a new laptop with new windows 7. will i have any problems transferring from old laptop to new one using belkin easy transfer cable. what if new computer is 64 bit.? one nice toshiba in office depot for sale is still 32 bit though. any suggestions. im not that hi tech so keep it all easy now. thanks.

You can't go from 32 bit to 64 bit using Easy Transfer, so you'll need to backup your files manually. If your new laptop is 32-bit then you should be able to use the cable using the Windows Easy Transfer Wizard.

well, other replies said i would have no problem. then again, i dont do files on my laptop so maybe it wont be a problem...i will soon see when i hook them both up i guess...thank you for your reply/
