Disk troubles in Win7

My C drive seems to be working overdrive and often has quite a queue length. I'm finding it's slowing the whole machine down.

I've tried swapping it out for an SSHD but still finding problems. Is there any way around it?

I would start by go into msconfig and disabling everything in startup, and in Services check the box hide microsoft serves and disable everything else. Reboot and see if that helps. If it does then start adding back until you find the culprit.
