Open Start Menu
Goto Computer
Then under Favorites
Select Desktop
You should see your login ID (This would be the folder for all your settings)
Open this folder and select "Desktop"
You should see all your images from there.

If this is not the correct location let me know and I will try again. :)

If the images are all you have on your desktop press (Ctrl + A)
That will select all the items in that folder.

If you have more than the images on desktop
Scroll the folder looking for the links you don't want to remove.
Hold the Ctrl key while clicking on the links you don't want removed.

Pressing "Delete" will then remove them.

You can probably do it in console with "del *.lnk" in the desktop folder.

Although, if that worked, it would kill all shortcuts on the desktop. Which is probably not what you want.

If they are actually visible on the desktop, just hold down the Ctrl key and select them all, (You will have to do this for each) then right click and one and select delete in the drop down menu.
Alternatively, in Windows explorer, open Users - username - desktop. There you will see all your images. Perform the same action. You can speed up the procedure here, however. If the images are all together. Select the first, whilst holding the Ctrl and Shift key. Scroll down and select the last. They will now all be outlined. Right click and select delete.
