Cursor "ghosts" out on HP Compaq Mini 110c-1120el

I have an HP Compaq Mini 110c-1120el. The mouse cursor does not render properly. It appears as a hologram and cannot be made out at all unless you move it around to a darker contrast area. If its not active, it is utterly invisible. I have tried installing 3D drivers, in case that is the problem, but none work. I have checked and found that there is support for using it with Windows 7, with its drivers being available, but there are no forum problems that indicate this type of problem. Attached are the screenshots; any help would be much appreciated.
