CPU fan control with Asus M3N78-VM mb

Unfortunately this Asus mb does not seem to have inbuilt intelligent CPU fan control- unlike the Gigabyte MA78GM-SH2 which is whisper quiet but now not available.
Asus supply a software Utiliy on the CD, but the overall Application Installer will not allow instalation to what it calls WNT_6.IP_64_MCE - thereby stopping me gettinig at what they call 'Cool'n'quet.
As I bought 6 of these mb's any thoughts on how to make things quiter would be much appreciated.
