changing network

[i need help]

i know that, to change network from public to home, u click the blue link underneath the name, but mine does not have the link and its not allowing me to use it.

Please help.

Hey I need help, and welcome to the windows 7 forums!
I have to admit I have no idea of what it might be, but might be able to help you if you give a bit more informatio. When you say it won't let you use it, what do you mean? Are you using a cable or wifi?

It might be easier to simply create a new connection and then select the appropriate connection type during the new connection setup.

I have used this method in the past and it works! Much quicker than other fixes.
