Can't "Unpin from this list"

I can't "Unpin from this list" an item from the jumplist. The top item on
the Pinned List needs to be removed. To right click and select ""Unpin from
this list" does not work as it should.

More Information:
As most folks, I have the Windows Explorer pinned to the Taskbar. This is
okay and I don't want to change it. As I right click on this icon (on the
taskbar), it displays a frequent list. This too is okay. If you right
click on an item in this frequent list, you can pin it so that it will not
rotate off (since the frequent list maintains a list of the latest 10
items). Now that I have this pinned, I want to unpin it. You should be
able to right click on the item and select "Unpin from this list" so that it
will be removed.

Thanks in advance.

See if this helps;

"It seems each time I unchecked, applied and rechecked the "store and
display recently opened items in startbar and taskbar" and applied, I
was able to remove only "one" item from the explorer jumplist. I had 3
of them so I had to do this uncheck, apply, check, apply 3 times and
each time unpin one item from the jumplist, now all three are gone.
Issue solved. but whacky nonetheless..."

The above is not my solution, but I found it in a Google search.
