Can't install IE 10

I have KB2670838 installed. Downloaded from MS for Windows 7.
Error not compatible with your version of windows.

Running win 7 64 bit. It installed without a problem on 2 32 bit net
books.

Ideas ?

Stupid MS. The 64 bit IE 10 installs ok and updates 32 and 64 bit in
Program Files and Program Files x86.

Not sure if the 32 bit version is still 32 bit though. Don't know how to
tell.
