BOOTMGR IS MISSING

Hey guys, just joined this thread. My name is Ian smith, and I must warn you all I am very new to programming and software so be patient with me :) anyways I have this problem where whenever I boot my HP pavilion laptop it reads "BOOTMGR IS MISSING" PRESS CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart...I have tried rebooting and pressing escape where I come across a set of options, however f8 is not included in these options(read somewhere this was the solution) please help thanks :)

If the boot manager is missing you can try putting a W7 DVD in the DVD-ROM drive and booting up to W7 & running start-up repair, however your problem may be that your hard drive went bad and may need replaced.
