SOLVED black screen build7601 this copy of windows is not genuine

and of course it actually is genuine, but how do I get back into win7 and fix this?

Running on win10 at the moment.

read online that I might need to remove a few KB updates, and couldnt find them, so went to windows 7/windows/software distribution/download and deleted it all.
Rebooted to windows 7 and it worked just fine.
