The most reliable method is converting Excel contacts into vCard format before importing. Gmail and mobile devices are designed to read VCF files, not Excel sheets. When I tried CSV imports, I lost labels and addresses. Converting Excel to vCard using Softaken solved that issue. The contacts imported perfectly into Gmail and synced to my phone with all details intact. It’s a much cleaner and safer workflow overall.
